Whenever I am in the car, or I want to go for a walk, I listen to podcast. Most of the podcast I listen to are for entrepreneurs.
What’s great about these podcast is that all of the podcasters have blogs that accompany the podcast. So when there are some things you hear that you want to use in your business or want to research, you can go to the bog and look at the notes about the podcast. You can find the links that are discussed and information about the products, books or blogs they discuss.
Some of the podcast I listen to are:
Tim Ferris- http://fourhourworkweek.com/podcast/
James Altucher – http://www.jamesaltucher.com/category/the-james-altucher-show/
John Dumas – http://www.eofire.com
Pat Flynn – http://www.smartpassiveincome.com
These are some of my favorite podcast. They focus on small business and how every business is basically an online business. Tim Ferris and James Altucher sometimes focus on business and life philosphy as much as business “How To”. John Dumas and Pat Flynn are almost exclusively interviewing business owners who present their story, including successes as well as failure.
Almost every time I listen to one of these podcast I pick up at least one idea or process that I can use in my own business. Sometimes the stories just verify what you already know to be true and sometimes you here something that will really open your eyes. At the very least I find the stories and presentations very motivating. When owning and running a small business, keeping motivated is usually more than half of the battle. After all the everyday life in a small business is putting one foot in front of the other.
Business is really a series of action items strung together. I find these successful entrapreneurs really present the systems and processes that other successful businesses are using in a format that make them useful.
My main business is being an accountant for small business owners outsource1.net. I try and present to small business owners the procedures and processes that they should follow to gain clarity and to set a financial path for them to follow. I’m telling my stories.
I would like to hear your stories about the processes and procedures you follow in your business. Tell me about the podcast you listen to . Is there someone out there that has lit a path for you to follow in your business? Comment and let me know.
